When the vacuum is created in the system or the pipe , the air alve open quickly to clear the vacuum by taking in the air. The inlet of Air valve is sealed under the water pressure.

HOW IT WORKS Filtration system under pressure condition: When the filtration system works under pressure, air will gather at the bottom of chamber, then the float will move up to seal the inlet.
Filtration system in empty status：When the system or pipe is drained empty, negative pressure forms in the air valve. Meanwhile the float move down to take in air against vacuum formation.
